Children's Birthday Parties

Painting pottery is an excellent activity party for children. They have fun painting, learn some new skills and have something they can keep to remind them of the party. At Better Craft and Paint Studio we ensure that they have a great time and produce something of which they can be proud.

If you wish to host a children's pottery painting party at home or in the garden why not order one or more of our pottery painting packs or individual pieces along with a paint selection. Return the painted pieces to us for glazing and firing and collect the finished items a few days later.

Please keep your distance from other visitors when moving around the Studio although you should remain seated as much as possible. This also gives choice for the children and ease of organisation for parents. We are a large studio and can accommodate both small and large parties. There is a minimum number of six for the party options. We can seat up to 25 in our downstairs Zen Room. Parties last 2 hours.

Parties at Better Craft and Paint Studio are not suitable for children below the age of six. We do not take bookings for children's parties weekdays during February and October half-terms.

We aim to be as flexible as possible and you are free to choose items from other party ranges or from our extensive range of bisque pottery. Pottery selected that is not included as a party option will be charged as Studio Fee plus the price of the piece.

Better Craft and Paint is the ideal choice for that special party for your child and their guests.

Party Option - Party Shelf or Letters

Our Party shelf is a perfect project for children to bring out their artistic flair with the opportunity to paint to their own design out of the wide choice available. We usually have more than 20-30 designs available.

Or why not let the children paint their own initial? Each of the letters is 13cm high and will look great on a shelf or a bookcase. Alternatively, there are holes in the rear so it can be hung on a wall.

Please note that we recommend ordering the letters for this party at least one week in advance. We usually keep the full alphabet in stock but we wish to ensure that we have sufficient quantities of the relevant letters.

Cost: £22.50 per child

Parties include:

Exclusive use of our Zen Room Room for 2 hours (for parties of 6 or more)
A choice from our party range of ceramics
Painting instruction and help as required
Unlimited use of paints, brushes and other resources
Free personalised plate for the birthday child for you to paint (for parties of 6 or more).

Party Food

Better Craft and Paint Studio can provide food for children’s parties at £6.00 per head subject to a minimum of 6 children. This includes a selection of quality sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, cucumber slices, biscuits and orange squash. It may be possible to address specific dietary requirements if notified well in advance.

You are free to bring a birthday cake of your choice - we will make a grand entrance at the end of the party!! Please note that sparkler candles are not allowed for safety reasons. Even if you are not ordering food you are still welcome to bring a birthday cake.

For various reasons we do not permit guests to bring their own food and drink other than the birthday cake or for specialist diets.

Important Information

All pottery painted during parties is available for collection in one week.
It is important that a maximum of two adults are present at a party (four adults for parties of ten or more). We do not normally have room for other parents to remain at the Studio so we recommend that party guests are dropped off and picked up on time. This is for safety reasons and for the convenience of other visitors to Better Craft and Paint Studio.
Party guests should arrive on time and be collected on time to enable smooth running of the party.
Please remember that other visitors will be using Better Craft and Paint Studio while your party is in progress. Running, jumping or shouting are not permitted for safety reasons and out of consideration for other visitors.

Booking Your Party

Check with us that your chosen date and time is free.
Party is confirmed on receipt of £100 deposit.
There are several car parks close to Better Craft and Paint Studio.
Call us a few days before the party with final numbers and any special dietary requirements.
