Keeping the
children amused and inspired over half term?
31 January 2007
How do you ensure
that children are occupied over half term and, at the same time, keep
their brains stimulated and encourage their creativity?
The Clay Studio in
Christchurch is open seven days each week and has a new range of
unpainted pottery or bisque to help amuse and stimulate our younger
visitors. This includes new money boxes to help them save their pennies,
decorative items as well as functional pottery such as plates and mugs
that allows them to exercise their creativity. It is not necessary to
have any artistic skills.
Kidz Painting Academy
workshops will be running Wednesday 21 February and Friday 23 February
from 10am for two hours. Each workshop will teach some simple techniques
for pottery painting and the children can collect their masterpieces
around three days later. Places in the Kidz Painting Academy are
available on a first-come, first-served basis and so advanced booking is
advised.
The Clay Studio is a
contemporary pottery painting studio, offering visitors the opportunity
to paint their own pottery and learn different painting and decorative
effects through the Painting Academy and by having trained staff always
on-hand. Alongside the painting is The Clay Studio Café which offers
snacks and beverages, sourced, wherever possible, from local Dorset and
Hampshire producers.
