Kidz Summer Camp keeps children inspired and entertained during the school holidays

How do you keep the children amused, occupied and inspired throughout the summer holidays? Kidz Summer Camp at The Clay Studio in Christchurch continues the Kidz Painting Academy workshops that have been so popular during recent school holidays. 

Kidz Summer Camp is a series of six 1.5 hour workshops. Each workshop is run at 10am twice a week on Wednesday and Fridays mornings from 25 July until 31 August. Each workshop will teach a different pottery painting skill or several skills. 

Brushes are optional. The Clay Studio will demonstrate different ways of painting including using fingers, bubbles, marbles and even string. Children will be able to astound their family and friends with their creativity. The techniques are suitable for children over three years of age although we do recommend that children under six are accompanied by a family member to help them.  

Each session costs £12 to include a mug or plate, drink and biscuit, a certificate and tuition from trained Clay Studio staff. Glazed and fired pottery will be ready for collection within a week. As previous Kidz Painting Academy sessions have been very popular, advance booking is necessary to secure places. 10% discount is available for anyone signing up for at least four of the six workshops. In addition, members of Clay Friends are eligible for 10% discount on any session.   

The Clay Studio is all about having fun but at the same time learning useful skills. Painting pottery helps children to express their creativity while having a fun time.

The Clay Studio is a contemporary pottery painting studio, offering visitors the opportunity to paint their own pottery and learn different painting and decorative effects through the Painting Academy and by having trained staff always on-hand. Alongside the painting is The Clay Studio Café which offers snacks and beverages, sourced, wherever possible, from local Dorset and Hampshire producers.
